EHS Manager

At the Solid Waste Disposal Authority of Baldwin Co AL, we are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee our safety programs and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accident prevention, safety training, and regulatory compliance.

• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop safety improvement plans based on incident trends, best practices, and new regulatory requirements.
• Create, update, and deliver comprehensive safety training programs tailored to various job roles and risk levels within the organization.
• Facilitate onboarding safety training for new hires, as well as ongoing training for existing employees, contractors, and temporary staff.

The successful EHS Manager will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within the solid waste, recycling, or manufacturing industries.

We offer a competitive salary range of $27.41 - $44.91 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits including full-time employee health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plan.
