This position is centered around Benefits Account Management, requiring direct interaction with clients, producers, and insurance carriers. Responsibilities encompass the entire process from initial quotes and estimates to facilitating presentations and open enrollment sessions. The role also involves carrier negotiations and equipping clients with the necessary tools to manage their employees' benefits, as well as assisting with claims.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing benefits accounts. This role is strictly focused on servicing existing clients and does not involve sales activities. The company is particularly interested in seasoned professionals and is willing to offer competitive compensation, including opportunities for advancement for account assistants from other firms.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package includes a competitive base salary, performance bonuses, and annual profit sharing. Additional benefits encompass employer-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Paid Time Off (PTO) programs. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the renewal process for a designated book of business
- Engage in carrier negotiations
- Consult on modifications to plan designs
- Facilitate communication regarding cross-selling and upselling opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Benefits Account Management
- Familiarity with Fully Funded Plans; experience with Level and Self-Insured plans is advantageous but not mandatory
