About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team in Miami.
  • The successful candidate will have previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar role.
  • The position offers a competitive salary of $18 - $20 per hour and an attractive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Event Setup:
    • Assist in setting up banquet rooms according to event specifications.
    • Ensure tables, chairs, linens, and tableware are properly organized and presentable.
    • Verify the accuracy of event details, including seating arrangements and special requests.
  • Food and Beverage Service:
    • Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their designated tables.
    • Serve meals and beverages in accordance with established service standards.
    • Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food.
    • Anticipate and respond promptly to guests' needs and requests.
    • Recommend menu items and assist guests in making informed choices.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of dining areas and clear tables efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work effectively with fellow servers, bartenders, and support staff to provide seamless service.
    • Communicate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure the availability of supplies and timely delivery of food and beverages.
    • Assist colleagues as needed during peak periods.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar role is preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the banquet schedule.
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy trays or equipment.
