About the Role

We're seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer II to join our team at Cisco. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified Cisco designs to validate their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine infrastructure needs and product specifications.
  • Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation and support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
Requirements
  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Possess creative analytical skills and excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in establishing and sustaining excellent relationships with extended teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum qualifications include a graduate or upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College, or 4-Year University.
  • Open to 0-3 years of relevant experience or recent graduate or those in the final year of a master's degree in mechanical engineering, a related program, or holders of equivalent academic certifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering principles and proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C++, or Java.
