We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing estimates and quoting new projects for RFQs, as well as developing work order materials and innovative manufacturing processes for new product introductions, tailored to meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates utilizing VISUAL Manufacturing. Acquire material, subcontract, and sublet quotes from the materials department as needed.
- Conduct a thorough review of technical requirements against quotations and coordinate order acknowledgments with the CFT Leader.
- Implement quality planning for various projects.
- Maintain part hierarchy and documentation for drawing/revision numbers.
- Provide technical assistance for manufacturing, materials, and subcontract/sublet contracting.
- Carry out disposition, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for any non-conformances.
- Create necessary fixture and process drawings.
- Review and manage Engineering Change Requests.
- Facilitate job release and post-job review meetings.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives alongside manufacturing personnel.
- Assess Customer Change Requests, evaluate cost and delivery implications, inform Sales, and integrate changes as necessary.
- Maintain organized electronic job folders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous engineering experience in developing new manufacturing processes for product launches is essential.
- The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in machining, blueprint interpretation, and GD&T.
- Experience with 3D modeling is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication and project management abilities, are required.
