">Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager I to coordinate and manage the work of other professionals, providing practical and inspired designs for infrastructure projects ranging widely in scope, including water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, stormwater, small roadway, and site development assignments.

  • You will be responsible for managing multiple, small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established project timelines.
  • You will develop proactive designs for a broad range of project types, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of construction processes plans and specifications.
  • You will have the opportunity to foster a creative engineering environment, leveraging your ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks while maintaining high design standards.
  • You will work closely with clients, consultants, and agencies to preplan project funding methods, and establish short and long-term goals, creating appropriate timelines for their completion.
  • You will serve as a mentor, teacher, and advisor, guiding junior team members and developing future leaders within the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization, recommending beneficial changes to drive innovation.
  • Nurture leads, develop and maintain professional contacts, convert current projects into follow-on projects, and bring in new work by participating in proposal presentations.
  • Work with clients, consultants, and agencies to preplan project funding methods, manage personnel and process, and develop project scopes and objectives.
  • Establish short and long-term goals, create appropriate timelines for their completion, and assign specialized teams to accommodate related needs.
  • Develop new relationships and work to enhance existing partnerships, writing project proposals to grow CPL's business.
  • Manage internal finances, including billing, invoice generation, and asset/resource allocation.
  • Perform quality assurance/control on others' work, verifying methodologies, calculations, outcomes, etc.
