Position Overview: Under general supervision, Retail Sales Specialists provide assistance and education to each customer with medical cannabis needs. Sales Associates ensure that every customer receives the appropriate products that will best support their specific health conditions.
Compensation: $16/hour
Work Schedule: Full Time / including weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all customer intake forms and related documentation are accurately completed and filed, then enter all relevant information into the database for future reference.
- Verify customer purchase limits prior to entry into the consultation area and communicate these limits to the relevant pharmacist.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service by fostering and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Respond to inquiries from customers regarding products, training, and general information.
- Manage customer records through the use of a medical marijuana database.
- Update and maintain databases as necessary.
- Process customer orders efficiently.
- Promote and sell all products offered by The Cannabist.
- Establish and uphold a high level of integrity and trust regarding specific products.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Two years of direct customer service experience required.
- Retail experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sales systems.
- Proficient in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Outlook.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Additional Abilities Required:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, use hands for manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance). The ability to communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, and vendors is essential. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
