The Veterans Health Administration is dedicated to advancing veteran healthcare through innovative research and cutting-edge technology. As a Veterans Healthcare Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our nation s heroes receive the highest quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care coordination
  • Evaluate and treat patients with mental health concerns, such as PTSD, depression, and substance-use disorders
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

You will work closely with nurses, social workers, integrated mental health providers, and pharmacists to deliver holistic care tailored to each veteran s needs. Opportunities exist for an academic appointment at UCLA as a clinician-educator to teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and other trainees.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
  • Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license from any state or US territory
  • Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000-$270,000 + up to $15,000 annual performance-based award, paid time off, free liability protection with tail coverage, dental, medical, life insurance, pension, Thrift Savings Plan (401K) with 5% salary match, Survivor Benefits, continuing education opportunities, Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program eligibility, and Education Debt Reduction Program authorization.
