- Assist in scheduling for team members.
- Supervise team members and address daily operational needs for both staff and pets.
- Ensure adherence to pet medication and feeding protocols.
- Facilitate the training of new Pet Care attendants.
- Maintain open communication between team members and management.
- Assist in evaluating new dogs for playgroups.
- Perform cleaning duties related to pet waste and maintain hygiene throughout the facility.
- Lead dog walks to and from exercise areas.
- Engage in playtime activities with pets, including fetch, exercise walks, and basic obedience games.
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing.
- Supervise multiple dogs during playtime, monitoring for potential conflicts.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment by adhering to cleaning protocols.
- Monitor pet health through daily documentation of eating and elimination habits.
- Alert management of any health concerns or unusual behaviors in pets.
- Operate laundry equipment for cleaning pet items and ensure proper return to respective pets.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility.
- Notify management of low inventory levels for pet supplies and cleaning products.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the property.
- Report any safety or operational issues to management.
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary.
As a Canine Care Team Leader, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on the daily care of our guests. Your shifts will vary, encompassing tasks such as walking dogs, providing bathroom breaks, feeding, administering medications, cleaning accommodations, and engaging in playtime. One day, you may ensure our overnight guests feel at home, while the next, you might oversee daycare activities to promote harmony among the dogs. You will interact with both the pets and their owners, documenting observations and sharing insights with management and pet parents. Be prepared for a hands-on role that includes cleaning, caring for pets, and receiving affection in return.
