Maintenance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Charlotte County, FL. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance activities, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and assign maintenance staff, including operational scheduling, daily assignments, deployments, and positioning maintenance staff.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate and supervise facility maintenance activities, projects, and improvements, including cost estimates, scope of work, and project scheduling.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are available to support maintenance activities.
- Assist staff with setting up meeting rooms, stage areas, and/or staging and audio equipment on stadium fields, ensuring compliance with fire codes, ADA, and safety requirements.
- Train new employees in a variety of duties, including facility safety, equipment operation and maintenance, and other related tasks.
- Conduct safety inspections, record and submit results, and prepare and submit work orders to bring equipment and facilities in compliance with established safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent with some vocational or technical training in one or more building trades.
- Two (2) years of experience in moderately large-scale custodial, park and building maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate aerial lift equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and the public.
This position requires some exposure to environmental changes, including outdoor weather and/or field conditions, warehouses, covered loading docks, garages, etc. or irate customers, extreme noise, odors, heights, and/or dust.
This position requires some exposure or risk to physical health and/or physical safety, including exposure to environmentally hazardous material, assault and battery, heavy equipment, communicable disease, etc.
