Job Title: Controls Engineer Robotics

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our innovative team at Jobot. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing automated manufacturing systems using cutting-edge technologies such as Allen Bradley PLC's, robotics, and conveyance systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for automated manufacturing equipment using Allen Bradley PLC's.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC's and other control systems.
  • Develop and implement control strategies for robotic systems.
  • Work with conveyance systems to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design control systems that meet these requirements.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting and resolving control system issues.
  • Document control system designs and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance control systems and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, preferably in the technology or manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and PLC programming.
  • Experience with conveyor and conveyance systems.
  • Knowledge of robotics and automation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other professionals.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
