Mixology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mixology Specialist to join our team at Time Out Market in New York. This is a dynamic role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging experience for our guests by crafting expertly mixed cocktails, providing personalized service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

• Prepare and serve drinks to high standards, ensuring quality and consistency in every pour
• Build rapport with guests, listening to their preferences and making recommendations to enhance their experience
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service, managing tables and tasks efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
• Stay up-to-date with menu offerings, promotions, and events, promoting these to guests as needed

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume bar or mixology environment
• Strong knowledge of spirits, beers, and wines, with the ability to make recommendations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
• Able to work well under pressure, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures

Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality service. Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding liquor sales and service would be beneficial.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving quickly around the bar area. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional appearance throughout your shift.
