Surgical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
- Prepare operating rooms for procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room, verifying patient identity and assisting with lifting and positioning as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures, providing input and feedback to management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists highly desirable.
- One to two years of experience as a surgical technician preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and lifting.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity, including the ability to see fine detail and pass instruments.
