About the Role

The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and completing daily reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu, ensuring that all dishes meet the company's standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cash receipts and meal transactions, as well as complete daily reports as required.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies, and procedures, ensuring that all customers receive excellent service and a positive dining experience.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Use and care of kitchen equipment, including knives, to ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that all staff are trained in its proper use.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishes, as well as coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
  • Quality Control: Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage, as well as adhere to the uniform policy and maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
  • Communication: Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day, as well as supervise the food temperature requirements and maintain a balanced and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Experience: Food Service Certificate as needed, with a strong background in food preparation and customer service.
  • Skills: Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
