Job Summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine CT procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Complete timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or computed tomography ARRT (CT) certified
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • CT experience
  • Advanced certification in CT required within one year of becoming CT registry eligible
Working Conditions

The incumbent works in a patient care area and may be exposed to blood, body fluid, and tissue. The job requires standing for prolonged periods and traveling throughout and between facilities.
