Core Responsibilities:
- Set up examination areas and maintain cleanliness after each patient interaction.
- Guide patients to examination rooms while ensuring a seamless patient flow.
- Deliver care tailored to each patient's unique needs and preferences.
- Handle incoming calls, coordinate appointment scheduling, and meticulously document patient information.
- Manage inventory of necessary supplies and ensure precise record-keeping in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Measure vital signs and update medication records as required.
- Assist in the transition of care to other medical facilities when necessary.
- Provide timely referrals and consult orders.
- Exhibit proficiency in computer operations and possess a solid understanding of medical terminology.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program is highly recommended.
- Previous experience in a Medical Assistant role is advantageous.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with patient care equipment and medical office operations.
