Position Summary
We are in search of a proficient electrician to aid in the repair, construction, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of standard electrical systems and equipment. This role involves modifying, aligning, calibrating, designing, programming, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining routine electrical systems and equipment, including control systems and production apparatus. Responsibilities include cutting, threading, bending, coupling, and securing conduit as necessary. The position also entails diagnosing electrical issues, inspecting circuits and wiring for proper shielding and grounding, and assessing electrical equipment for safety and operational efficiency.
Work Environment
This role requires 100% onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all electrical infrastructure for company-owned or leased properties.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent unscheduled power outages.
- Install new electrical circuits for additional equipment.
- Evaluate new construction projects and provide recommendations.
- Perform monthly testing of the main backup generator.
- Coordinate with external contractors to ensure compliance with current OSHA regulations.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, crawling, climbing ladders, heavy lifting, potential exposure to loud machinery, and possible contact with chemicals and biological hazards.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of relevant experience.
- California state electrician's license.
- Completion certificate from an accredited trade school.
- Strong customer service orientation, quick problem-solving skills, teamwork capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, and effective interpersonal skills for coordination with internal and external teams.
