Job Summary

The Property Officer will be responsible for the receipt, distribution, and management of all Center assets. This includes ensuring the quality and integrity of all related paperwork, coordinating receiving activities with the Purchasing Department, and conducting periodic physical inventory of all Center assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of all Center assets
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and directives related to asset control
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Finance, Property, and Purchasing departments to ensure prompt correction of vendor issues
  • Utilize and manage the government excess property acquisition program
  • Provide required and supplemental training for new and current employees
  • Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
  • Provide quality services for students and ensure that quality is maintained and student needs are met
  • Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas, identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate appropriate solutions
  • Work in partnership with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students
  • Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager

Requirements

  • Associate Arts Degree from an accredited college required
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college preferred
  • Experience with Federal Government property and inventory requirements, warehousing and inventory control preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements
  • Requires computer literacy in word processing and Microsoft Suite of applications
