Senior Intraoperative Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Intraoperative Monitoring Tech to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a key member of our global health organization, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring various modalities of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring for neurosurgical, vascular, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic spine, and interventional radiology procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and monitor intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring for neurosurgical, vascular, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic spine, and interventional radiology procedures.
- Conduct motor cranial nerve recording, spontaneous or evoked electromyography (EMG), spinal screw and direct nerve stimulation, intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP), intraoperative electroencephalography (EEG), intraoperative brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAER), and intraoperative transcranial electrical motor evoked potentials (TCeMEP).
- Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols related to sterile technique and infection control.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless intraoperative monitoring and patient care.
- Bachelor's degree in anatomy/physiology, biological sciences, or a closely related field.
- Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM licensure) or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
