The individual will engage within the pivotal Planning & Analytics division of Global Integrated Marketing (GIM). This role involves identifying and assessing strategic business prospects, including innovative initiatives and collaborations. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout AWS marketing to evaluate these prospects and establish a factual basis for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate the framework and methodology for navigating ambiguous and intricate analytical challenges, converting analysis into actionable insights and recommendations for the organization.
- Develop business requirements to evaluate the impact of AWS marketing across various channels and its effectiveness in fostering a conducive selling environment and driving business expansion.
- Assess new marketing opportunities by constructing performance models that reflect feasible scenarios or illustrate acceptable risk thresholds.
- Propose strategies and tactics to enhance current business operations processes for improved operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other analytics teams and finance to continuously refine measurement methodologies, synthesizing diverse perspectives into a clear and concise format.
- Deliver findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is tasked with driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level clients, including the public sector. The AWS Global Support team partners with leading organizations, believing that exceptional support is vital to customer success. AWS Support also collaborates with a global clientele that builds mission-critical applications on AWS services.
Global Integrated Marketing (GIM)
GIM orchestrates global, integrated marketing initiatives encompassing advertisements, sponsorships, brand partnerships, web, email, social media, events, and digital platforms to enhance brand awareness, preference, and adoption of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business or marketing strategy, consulting, corporate development, finance, or operations.
- 5+ years of advanced Excel skills (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.).
- Experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
- Experience in defining business requirements and utilizing data and metrics to derive business insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent Master's degree in Marketing or Finance.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, including running strategy engagements and measuring effectiveness in the B2B space.
- Track record of successfully navigating ambiguous situations.
- Experience in creating financial models to evaluate the long-term value of investments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Intellectual curiosity, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (including structured thinking and attention to detail) with experience in communicating and presenting to senior executives.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
