Radiology Technician Job Description

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team in Wilmington, OH. This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations using various equipment and techniques.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their understanding and informed consent.
  • Assess patients' conditions during exams and inform physicians of any changes.
  • Work under the direction of radiologists and select appropriate equipment for procedures.
  • Determine optimal anatomical postures and positions for patients, shielding them as necessary.
  • Perform special radiographic examinations, such as intravenous pyelograms and tomograms.
  • Program x-ray machines and produce radiographs for various examinations.
  • Send imaging data to Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) efficiently.
  • Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures, maintaining a safe environment for patients.
  • Assist in training students and ancillary personnel, as needed.
  • Take x-ray calls and work weekend shifts according to the monthly schedule.
  • Work required holidays and maintain current knowledge of local fire and safety regulations.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and clerical responsibilities, as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in diagnostic radiography.
  • State of Ohio Radiologic License in Radiographer category.
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) [R.T.(R)(ARRT)].
  • BLS Required.
  • 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
