Position: Advanced Practice Provider - Urology Department

Overview:

TJH Medical Services is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver outstanding patient care in partnership with our medical teams.


Key Responsibilities:

The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and utilizing critical thinking for diagnosis, medication management, and diagnostic testing.
  • Collaborating effectively with supervising physicians and the healthcare team, prioritizing patient-centered safety and quality.
  • Participating in daily patient rounds alongside attending physicians, formulating and executing individualized clinical care plans.
  • Providing guidance to nursing and ancillary staff regarding patient conditions and care strategies.
  • Performing thorough physical examinations and bedside procedures within the defined scope of practice.
  • Facilitating family meetings to discuss patient care.
  • Ensuring precise and timely documentation of patient histories, physical exams, consultations, and daily progress notes.
  • Assisting patients and their families with educational resources, problem-solving, and health management throughout their care journey.
  • Maintaining proficiency in clinical privileges related to the area of practice.
  • Completing all required training as mandated by MediSys Health Network.
  • Adhering to clinical and institutional policies and procedures relevant to practice and operational standards.
  • Treating all patients and colleagues with respect and dignity.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in Urology and Surgical specialties.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid Physician Assistant license from the New York State Department of Education.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $132,148,783.50 annually
