Neurosurgery Specialist

We are seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider to work with our affiliate organization, US Neurosurgery Associates. Under the direction of the neurosurgeon, this individual will provide health care services to neurosurgery patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain or update patient history and perform physical examinations.
- Perform or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
- Administer therapeutic procedures such as wound care.
- Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Provide first-assist function in cranial, neurovascular, and spine surgeries and independently perform minor surgical procedures as approved by attending physician.
- Master's degree from Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with certification and current license required.
- Experience with neurosurgery preferred.
- Candidates must possess excellent clinical skills and be able to function with a high level of autonomy.
- Must also be self-motivated and detail-oriented; and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record required, Epic preferred.
