    • Implement evidence-based practices tailored for youth facing mental health and substance use challenges, utilizing approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care.
    • Co-facilitate group sessions focusing on essential life skills, healthy relationships, and cultural identity.
    • Plan and oversee a variety of activities for youth, both on-site and in the community, ensuring engagement and participation.
    • Support educational initiatives by acting as a learning coach in classroom settings.
    • Maintain a safe and supportive environment through vigilant supervision of youth and families.
    • Uphold confidentiality standards in all communications.
  • Lead Youth Treatment Specialist Responsibilities:
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to Youth Treatment Specialists, ensuring effective programming and treatment delivery.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with youth with mental health needs is essential.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet agency insurance requirements.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence in interactions with diverse populations.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of child and youth development principles.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a state-licensed residential care setting, requiring local travel and the ability to engage with youth who have experienced trauma.
