About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time after-school teacher at the Harbor Day Care Center Inc. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Engage with Students: Provide a safe and supportive environment for students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with Homework and Academic Activities: Support students with their homework and academic tasks, promoting a love for learning and academic success.
  • Plan and Lead Enrichment Activities: Develop and lead engaging enrichment activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and educational games, to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate with Parents and Guardians: Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Classroom: Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and safe for students, promoting a sense of responsibility and respect for the environment.
