Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of audit professionals and support personnel.
  • Spearhead the creation of risk-focused financial statement audit plans.
  • Mentor team members by delegating tasks and offering constructive feedback.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to the delivery team in areas such as financial reporting, internal controls, and financial systems.
  • Review preliminary deliverables from engagement teams to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and professional standards.
  • Assist senior leadership in business development initiatives and operational management.
  • Promote a client-centric mindset within the engagement team.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets and financial performance metrics.
  • Communicate audit findings, potential risks, and overall progress to stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in DoD financial statement audits and/or financial management.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Government Auditing Standards and federal audit and financial management regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, capable of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Capacity to maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM, or CDFM.
  • Experience with Federal Government and/or DoD clientele.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Oracle Federal Financials, or other relevant financial systems.
