Job Summary

Bally's Dover Casino Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain - Watch Officer to join our team. As a key member of our riverboat operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the riverboat, including monitoring security radio channels, surveillance monitors, and environmental conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including those related to safety, security, and environmental protection.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the riverboat to identify and address any safety or maintenance issues.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports and documents to management.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the casino or maritime industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and security protocols, as well as environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
Working Conditions

The Captain - Watch Officer will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level may be moderate to high at times, and the employee must be able to work in a smoking environment.
