Position Title: Women's Basketball Team Assistant Coach
- Facilitate key operational aspects of the Women's Basketball program in accordance with the college's mission and under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Serve as a role model for student-athletes, encouraging personal and team development, supporting academic achievements, and nurturing positive relationships.
- Participate in team enhancement initiatives, including recruitment efforts, athlete training, and tracking academic performance.
- Conduct team practices, provide strategic coaching during competitions, and demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship and interpersonal skills.
- Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes by assessing potential candidates, engaging in recruitment activities, and managing athlete records.
- Participate in initiatives for athletic promotion and fundraising.
- Ensure adherence to all college, conference, and NCAA guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation, or a related discipline.
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level, ideally complemented by a collegiate playing background, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of collegiate athletic programs and demonstrated proficiency in team sports.
- Strong teaching and coaching skills, along with effective communication abilities to engage with students, parents, coaches, and other college staff.
