Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Repair Technician to join our team at Smith Turf & Irrigation LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of small engine lawn care equipment, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of small engine equipment, including Toro, Ventrac, Exmark, Scag, and Stihl.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, hydraulic fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and identify malfunctions, inspecting and repairing or replacing defective or worn-out parts as needed.
  • Complete documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders.
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment serviced, participating in available company-sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Perform all duties in a professional and safe manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working on gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Certifications from STIHL, Kohler, Toro, Exmark, Briggs and Stratton are a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic problems.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
