POSITION OVERVIEW

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:

This role entails preparing examination or treatment areas, aiding patients, and performing routine diagnostic and treatment procedures as per established protocols. You will also assist healthcare providers during patient evaluations and ensure that the treatment areas are clean and well-organized. Additionally, responsibilities include patient reception and various administrative tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up examination and treatment areas with required supplies and instruments.
- Ensure a high standard of patient service by warmly welcoming patients and confirming their details.
- Measure vital signs and execute routine treatments and procedures as instructed.
- Support healthcare providers during evaluations and treatments by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Conduct blood draw procedures and minor laboratory tests on-site.
- Handle related administrative tasks such as answering calls and maintaining patient records.
- Adhere to established protocols for scheduling patient referrals and managing follow-ups for patients who missed appointments.

Ensure that patient consents are acquired for procedures, review patient records for any missing documentation, and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
- Keep examination and service areas tidy and properly dispose of used materials.
- Assist in onboarding new staff and contribute suggestions for enhancing patient care outcomes.
- Foster positive working relationships with healthcare providers, colleagues, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- No prior experience is necessary, as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, communicate effectively, and deliver direct patient care across various age demographics.
