We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Signal Coordinator to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for a variety of functions related to traffic signal design, installation, operations, timing, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical tasks related to traffic signal design, installation, and maintenance.
- Work under the general direction of the County Traffic Engineer to ensure efficient and safe traffic signal operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless traffic flow and minimize congestion.
- Develop and implement traffic signal timing plans to optimize traffic flow and reduce congestion.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic signals to ensure proper functioning and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as civil engineering or transportation engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in traffic signal design, installation, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of traffic signal design principles and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
