Job Overview

Our client, a well-known legal firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Labor Law Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in labor law matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on labor law issues and represent them in court and before government agencies.
  • Prepare and draft complex legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct thorough research on labor law developments and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in labor disputes.
  • Develop strategies for handling labor-related issues and disputes.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with ethical obligations and company policies.
  • Participate in professional development and networking activities to foster relationships with potential clients and stay informed about industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with DC Bar (or ability to waive in).
  • Minimum 1-7 years of relevant experience in ERISA and employee benefits law.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and related regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
