Job Summary

A Dialysis Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care at one of our in-center hemodialysis units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
  • Ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
  • Administer and chart all prescribed medications
  • Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews
  • Document required patient education efforts
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
  • Assist in medication inventory maintenance
  • Lead a small patient care team
  • Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
  • Additional tasks as requested

Education/Training: Accredited nursing degree required. Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available. DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training. New graduates encouraged to apply.
