Role Summary:

As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, your primary duty will be to deliver direct patient care in alignment with the treatment plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist. You will assist both Physical Therapists and patients through various responsibilities related to patient care coordination, organization, and effective communication. The objective is to execute all tasks with precision, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.

This role involves working with a diverse range of orthopedic issues, including acute work-related injuries, pre-operative and post-operative conditions, as well as initiatives focused on workplace wellness and injury prevention.

Specializations: Orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, ergonomics, injury prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the treatment plan and conduct follow-up sessions with a focus on rehabilitation.
  • Educate and guide patients in exercises, home care programs, and health education.
  • Maintain clear communication with patients, supervising therapists, and referring physicians regarding the treatment plan and patient progress.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Possess knowledge of physical therapy office management systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrate social awareness and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Showcase organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Be proficient in MS Office and patient management software.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California is mandatory.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, though we are open to training suitable candidates. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Salary Information:

Salary range is $75,000-$95,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location.
