Role Summary:

As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver direct patient care in alignment with the directives of the supervising Physical Therapist. You will assist both Physical Therapists and patients in various aspects of patient care management, ensuring effective organization and communication. The goal is to execute all tasks with precision, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.

This role will involve working with a range of orthopedic issues, including acute injuries related to work, pre-operative and post-operative conditions, as well as initiatives focused on workplace wellness and injury prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the prescribed plan of care and conduct follow-up treatment sessions with an emphasis on rehabilitation.
  • Effectively instruct and guide patients in exercises, home care routines, and educational resources.
  • Maintain transparent communication with patients, supervising therapists, and referring physicians regarding the patient's treatment plan and progress.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions.
  • Exhibit excellent time management capabilities while balancing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Possess knowledge of physical therapy office management systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrate social awareness and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display robust organizational and planning abilities.
  • Be proficient in MS Office and patient management software.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California is mandatory.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, although we are open to training the right candidate. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

Salary range is between $75,000 and $95,000 annually, with variations based on skills, experience, and geographical location.
