Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Take vital signs, check surgical dressings, and assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Collect Specimens: Perform blood draws and collect specimen samples for laboratory testing.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and collect data on patient status, communicating with the healthcare team to identify needs and provide care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain Patient Safety: Promote patient safety, including fall prevention, and ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Perform Administrative Tasks: Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients, and maintain patient care supplies and linen.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification: Current Maryland state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) required.
- Experience: No previous experience required; previous direct patient care experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
