Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our interdisciplinary psychiatric team as a Patient Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient dignity and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study patient behavior and apply behavioral, cognitive, and emotional skills to improve functional status and quality of life.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Convey gentle parenting and collaborative problem-solving concepts to patients and their families.
  • Monitor patient attendance in treatment programs and motivate patients to engage in coping skills practice.
  • Manage inventory and support clinical needs as they arise.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong commitment to patient dignity and well-being.
  • Ability to set boundaries and maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions

This is an in-person role that requires the ability to work four 10-hour shifts per week, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate must be physically and mentally ready for a highly active role that involves education, intake, rounds, hospitality, and other responsibilities.
