Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees designated departments within the facility, ensuring all tasks are performed to standard.
  • Maintains cleanliness, implements 5S practices, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates closely with the Production Scheduler to comprehend production needs and provide timely feedback on identified gaps.
  • Ensures teams operate in alignment with established fabrication plans and contributes to enhancing work efficiency.
  • Plans work effectively and manages labor resources to guarantee efficient task execution.
  • Implements schedules with a focus on safety, quality, timeliness, impact, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Responsible for coaching and evaluating the performance of area leads and team members.
  • Actively engages in the recruitment, selection, training, and mentoring of new employees within the department.
  • Provides direction, supervises effectively, offers performance counseling, and trains as necessary.
  • Initiates disciplinary actions when required.
  • Works alongside Human Resources to ensure compliance with company policies and communicates these policies to production teams.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to address and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation for all projects within assigned areas.
  • Regularly communicates with employees and encourages their input in problem-solving efforts.
  • Actively participates in safety programs, observing and correcting unsafe behaviors.
  • Ensures adherence to EHS policies and guidelines within the department.
  • Coaches, trains, and monitors employee performance regarding safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management principles.
  • Familiarity with business and financial concepts.
  • Exceptional communication skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Highly organized and analytical in approach.
  • Outstanding organizational skills are essential.
