Job Title: Speech Instructor

Paul D. Camp Community College is seeking a highly qualified Speech Instructor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Speech Instructor will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in Communication Studies, including speech, debate, and public speaking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a passion for helping students develop their communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of courses in Communication Studies, including speech, debate, and public speaking.
  • Develop and implement curriculums that align with student learning goals.
  • Use formative and summative assessment measures to evaluate and enhance student learning.
  • Stay current and continually improve knowledge and understanding of the teaching discipline.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in Communication Studies.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Ability to design and implement curriculums that align elements of student learning to the student's educational goals.
  • Ability to develop and adapt teaching and learning strategies to accommodate traditional and non-traditional students with diverse backgrounds and varied academic competencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Full-time teaching experience.
  • Community college teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, alternative delivery methods to include online delivery, hybrid and hyflex course options, content software, web-enhancements, etc.
