Central Union High School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support our special education population in achieving academic success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background, experience working with school-aged children, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support classroom teachers and staff in reinforcing instruction to individuals or small groups.
- Assist in observing, monitoring, and collecting data on behaviors targeted for intervention.
- Perform specialized learning techniques, communication strategies, and applied behavioral activities or techniques.
- Model positive behavior supports and intervention techniques for other staff.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Any training, education, and/or experience equivalent to an associate's degree and 1 year of experience working with school-aged children.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
- Pre-employment health exam.
- Valid Class C California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- Copy of Transcript (All transcripts from College and/or University)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 letters dated within 1 year of application date)
- Resume
- Only complete applications with all required documents will be considered.
- Candidates recommended for employment will need to be fingerprinted and submit to a pre-employment health exam.
