The Central Marin Police Authority is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Lateral Entry Police Officers.

We provide a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, including a signing bonus of up to $30,000. This bonus is available for graduates from a POST certified California Police Academy and for lateral entry police officers.

POSITION SUMMARY:


This classification exists to uphold Federal, State, and local laws while responding to emergencies that protect life and property.

Under general supervision, the role involves performing law enforcement duties and crime prevention activities; managing traffic flow and enforcing relevant regulations; and executing related responsibilities as necessary.


KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
This is a journey-level role within the professional police series, requiring sworn peace officer status. This position is distinct from Police Sergeant and Police Corporal roles, which provide general oversight for Police Officers.
