The Retail Sales Representative plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience throughout their shopping journey.

This position involves engaging with customers to provide information regarding product features, pricing, and availability, as well as managing returns and processing sales transactions.

The Retail Sales Representative reports to either a General Manager or Store Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver an outstanding customer experience in line with our service standards. Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and promote products.
Stay knowledgeable about our product offerings by utilizing available training resources and seeking additional information as needed.
Collaborate with a high-performing team to meet the store's sales objectives. Aim to achieve personal sales targets.
Communicate product offerings and services, such as gift registries and cooking classes, to customers. Demonstrate products upon customer request or as directed by management.
Adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Maintain a tidy store environment, including restrooms.

Accurately and efficiently process various transactions through the POS system, including sales, returns, and price checks.

Ensure pricing accuracy, manage stock levels, and replenish the sales floor according to visual merchandising standards.
Record work hours accurately in compliance with company policy.
Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills with customers and team members.
Safeguard customers, employees, and company assets. Report any safety concerns to the Manager on Duty.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager on Duty, General Manager, or Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with customers and team members.
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and move throughout the store to assist customers and retrieve merchandise.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and lifting to demonstrate and manage merchandise.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to use ladders to access merchandise.
Proficient in operating computers, POS systems, and other necessary technology to complete tasks. Regular and reliable attendance is essential. Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 35 lbs.

EXPERIENCE AND PREFERENCES:
Preferred 1 year of experience in retail sales. Must be at least 16 years of age.
Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
