Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent public organization in Central NJ, is looking for a Senior Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting. This role offers a competitive salary package and a chance to contribute to a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess 3-7 years of relevant experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Engage in the month-end, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring all deadlines are met while preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

2. Conduct account reconciliations, journal entries, and analytical procedures.

3. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly internal management reports and Board presentations.

4. Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual external filings, including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and management discussions.

5. Support accounting for investments related to corporate compensation plans.

6. Participate in various special projects involving finance systems and technologies.

7. Strive for continuous improvement in operations, reducing process times, and enhancing workflow efficiency while collaborating with the business.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

2. 3-7 years of pertinent experience.

3. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting regulations.

4. Excellent interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.

5. CPA certification is a plus (or parts passed).

6. Familiarity with SAP and HFM reporting is advantageous.
