Job Summary

Lawson State Community College is seeking qualified part-time adjunct faculty to teach in various technical disciplines. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instruction, assessing student learning, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality instructional content, including lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory activities.
  • Assess student learning through various methods, including written and performance examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators to ensure a smooth and successful academic experience.
  • Participate in departmental orientation and adhere to institutional policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent in the teaching discipline.
  • Three years of successful full-time experience as a practitioner in the field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the teaching discipline.
  • Teaching experience in a community college or similar setting.
  • Experience with online instruction and learning management systems.
