Senior Project Manager - DSA Expert

Raise Consulting is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in DSA (Division of the State Architect) ground-up construction projects in the public education sector. As a key member of our team, you will lead complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and quality adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design-build projects with a focus on ground-up construction in compliance with DSA standards.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring each is completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Act as a key liaison between architects, engineers, contractors, and DSA representatives to streamline project approval processes.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Oversee all phases of construction, including pre-construction planning, design coordination, construction execution, and project closeout.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including school boards, to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Maintain project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and change orders.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior project management role.
  • Proven experience managing DSA ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of California building codes, DSA requirements, and safety standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills; experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities, with a track record of building and leading successful teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
