We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Engineer with extensive experience in Level 3 (L3) Production Support to enhance our innovative team. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining and improving enterprise-level applications while delivering high-quality support for intricate production challenges. This role necessitates a blend of programming, problem-solving, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and sustain applications utilizing .NET framework and .NET Core technologies.
- Deliver L3 support by diagnosing and resolving intricate production challenges that L1 and L2 support teams cannot handle. This may involve being on-call as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production failures and devise solutions to mitigate and prevent future incidents.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to comprehend the architecture and workflows of applications.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal application performance.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold best practices in software engineering.
- Implement new functionalities and enhance existing features based on business needs.
- Document all activities in project management tools and create support documentation for L1 and L2 teams.
- Guide junior developers and support personnel in .NET technologies and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in .NET development and production support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in application development using .NET technologies.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in providing L3 production support for .NET applications.
- In-depth knowledge of C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with .NET Core, microservices, and containerization technologies such as Docker is advantageous.
- Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JS frameworks) is preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or relevant .NET certifications are beneficial.
