Job Summary:\
We are seeking a skilled Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team at Rich Engineering LLC. The successful candidate will have 3 years of experience in highway construction inspection and a strong knowledge of roadway, structure, and bridge construction/maintenance/repair/rehabilitation methods, materials, standards, and specifications.\

The Transportation Construction Inspector will be responsible for monitoring contractors, ensuring quality control and contract compliance on heavy highway, road, and bridge construction and maintenance projects. This includes performing material testing and inspections, taking field measurements, reading and interpreting plans and contract documents, and inspecting various aspects of work and project installation to ensure proper construction.\

This is a full-time position that requires 40 or more hours per week, with day shifts typically starting between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. and lasting 8 to 10 hours. Project assignments may also require night or weekend work.\

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities:\

Requirements:\
- 3 years of experience in highway construction inspection\
- Strong knowledge of roadway, structure, and bridge construction/maintenance/repair/rehabilitation methods, materials, standards, and specifications\
- Familiarity with VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications, Road and Bridge Standards, Construction Manual, and Inspector Manual\
- Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders\
- Strong organizational and time management skills\

Preferred Qualifications:\
- Certification in soil and aggregate compaction\
- Certification in asphalt field level I & II\
- Certification in American Concrete Institute (ACI)\
- Certification in pavement marking\
- Certification in slurry surfacing\
- Certification in surface treatment\
- Certification in flagger certification\
- Certification in erosion and sediment control inspection\
- Certification in nuclear gauge safety training\
- Certification in stormwater management (inspector)\
- Certification in intermediate work zone traffic control\
- Certification in 10 hour OSHA safety training\
- Certification in GRIT (guardrail certification)\

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year\
