Our team comprises compassionate professionals, including drivers, dispatchers, and support staff, all committed to delivering reliable and secure transportation solutions.
As a School Transportation Attendant, your primary responsibility will be to assist the bus driver in maintaining a safe environment for students during transit. This role involves helping students board and disembark from the bus, conducting safety inspections, managing emergency situations, and addressing behavioral concerns with parents and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of all passengers while on the bus.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Conduct safety checks to verify the bus is secure for travel.
- Stay alert to monitor the well-being of students during the journey.
- Check for any sleeping children before departure.
- Support the driver in safely maneuvering the bus, especially in reverse.
- Lead emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.
- Be capable of operating service doors and navigating steps multiple times daily.
- Report any behavioral issues and conditions at various bus stops to the driver.
- Communicate with parents as required.
- Assist in keeping the bus clean and organized.
- Occasionally participate in field trips and special events to ensure student safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children or students.
- Completion of a comprehensive training program.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
