About the Role

The Center of Excellence through People Serving People is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Multi-Age Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education: Encourage children's social, academic, and developmental skills, promoting a love of learning and a strong foundation for future success.
  • Parent Engagement: Welcome, talk to, and meet with parents as needed, fostering a sense of community and partnership in their child's education.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children to thrive.
  • Curriculum Development: Participate in classroom planning and facilitation of age-appropriate curriculum, building on the trauma-informed framework developed in the classrooms.
  • Sensory Integration: Implement sensory integration in the classroom in collaboration with the lead teacher, promoting a holistic approach to child development.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalency required, 2 year degree or CDA preferred, 2,080 hours as an aide or student intern in a licensed Child Care Program, and 12 quarter credits relating to Child Development.
  • Certifications and Skills: First Aid and CPR certified or willing to be certified within first 90 days of work, and ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
