Orthopedic Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic/Neuro team at WVU Medicine. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in orthopedic and neurology care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
- 1-2 years of experience in orthopedic or neurology nursing, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and willingness to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
